Privacy and Security Statement

Blyth Valley Green Party is committed to protecting your privacy and the transparent use of any online information you give us. This page sets out what information we may hold about you if you provide it, and how that data will be used. No information will be shared more widely than is set out below unless it is required by law.

 

If you sign up for email updates as a supporter

We will record your name, email address, and postcode in order to create your subscription and send you updates about your local area. It will not be used for any other purpose and will not be shared with any external organisations. It will be held for as long as you wish to maintain your subscription.

 

If you make a one-off donation, regular gift or create a standing order

The personal details you provide will be held internally and will be shared with the Electoral Commission in the case of donations totalling over £500.

 

If you have joined the Green Party of England and Wales

We will hold a record of your name, postal address, and any email address(es) you register with the national party for the purpose of general communication. This information will be used for party management purposes, will not be shared with any external organisations without your specific consent, and will be held for as long as you maintain your membership. If your membership lapses, your status will change to a supporter.

 

Tracking in emails

We use tracking in our mailings we send to you to evaluate the impact of our mailings.

 

Opting out of contact

Anyone can opt out of email communications by clicking the unsubscribe links in our emails.

Members can opt out of any or all contact methods by updating their privacy preferences on the following page of the members site: https://my.greenparty.org.uk/form/edit-my-details

Supporters can opt out of any or all contact methods by emailing members@greenparty.org.uk.

 

If you participate in any surveys

We will hold your answers to the survey questions against your name. The data will be used internally to seek your voluntary help with local campaigns and administration tasks and not shared with any external organisation. By default this data will be retained while you remain a member or supporter. If you wish to be removed from our survey database, please inform us by emailing our Membership Officer steve@wulfe.demon.co.uk.  NB. If you subsequently participate in another survey, your data will be restored to our database.
